The Saturday Hike Crew

The Saturday Hike Crew website is built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript. It has streamlined the process and removed the middle man of organizing, recaping and communicating hikes that the SHC host. With up to date recaps of hikes, the ability to register for new hikes, and a newsletter, the SHC is able to focus on what they do best, host hikes. The founder has access to a dashboard to track attendance, create new hikes and see newsletter subscribers.

Seen By Liz

Seen By Liz is a portfolio website for a Los Angeles based photographer, exhibiting her stunning images. The website is built in typescript and keeps a minimal design to focus on the quality of the images captured. This is a central hub for the client to show their work and connect with potential new clients as they have a dashboard that shows who has reached out recently.

Community
Sunday Runday
As an active captain for Sunday Runday, I have had over the course of 2 and a half years many life changing experiences with this running community nestled in Donwtown Los Angeles. Some of those experiences, as shown below, include witnessing the growth of the club on it's 2 year annivery, running to Vegas with a team of SDRD runners, and participating in countless races together.

2 Year Anniversary
Janaury 2025
The two year anniversy of Sunday Runday highlighted the work and dedication of the club
and it's members in bringing a greater sense of community to the downtoewn Los Angeles area.

The Speed Project
March 2025
The Speed Project is an annual unsanctioned race starting at the Santa Monica Pier and finishing at the Las Vegas sign.
This race is a unique opportunity to run a marathon in a single day, and is a great way to test your limits and push yourself to your breaking point. Spanning over 340 miles in total with a team of 7 other runners, we spend over 40 hours running together, navigating the elements and battling through every mile as a team.

Victory Relay
August 2025
The Victory Relay is an 8 person relay race within and around the Los Angeles Memorial Collesium in honor of the first woman to win the Olympic Marathon,
Joan Benoit Samuelson. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to coach the Sunday Runday men's team and celebrate the history of the achievement with Joan in attendance.

Nike After Dark: Los Angeles
The Nike After Dark series was a collection of global runs celebrating women who run. The Los Angeles race culminated in June with a half marathon through the city of Inglewood with a performance from Doechii at the finish.
Leading up to the race on a weekly basis as an ambassador, we held weekly track session in East LA and Inglewood, exposing many in the local community to track workouts, in which over 50% had never done before. Helping with these sessions through leading stretches, curating playlists and leading pace groups, I was able to see the weekly progression from so many individuals who just needed access to the right resources.

Saturday Hike Crew
The Saturday Hike Crew started as a group of friends in October of 2022 looking to explore the Los Angeles mountains. Quickly, it grew into a community of over 100 + hikers who have been in attendance for every hike since.
Becoming a part of the crew in the executive capacity has allowed me to share my love for the outdoors with others and to see the community grow and thrive.
Often leading stretches, giving preliminary safety messages and acting as the caboose for all hikes, I have been able to help people in so many ways find their love for the outdoors.
